Jag har blivit lite intresserad av denna spelare och undrar om det är någon som hört något om den?
Det ska tydligen vara en uppgradering av Original Leonardo 5 Aniversary CD Player, - och alltså inte samma spelare.
Modified PHILIPS VAM12 top loading laser pick up and Philips CD7-II digital servo system for accurate laser pick up and fact track access.
.Two Burr-Brown’s PCM-1792(24Bit/192KHz) as D/A converter.
.True balanced design. Two separate left/right channel D/A converter, filtering and output circuits.

Jag hade förmånen att låna Leonardo Anniversary ett par veckor. Det är en mycket fin spelare. Den har en ganska neutral karaktär med en mycket naturtrogen och detaljerad ljudbild. Med rätt matchning (som alltid) skulle jag gärna behålla den. Jag fick ihop det bäst med signalkablar i koppar med min dåvarande elektronik.

Jag är grymt sugen på Leonardon. Låter den ok så är den värd pengarna bara för utseendet... |

Anledningen till att det inte blev någon recension ännu... :
"..The Leonardo is equally gorgeous - for 1/10th the Zanden's coin where other makers give you bent sheet metal instead. In fact, this player looks so good in the flesh -- I'm afraid the photos don't fully convey it -- that I barely care how it'll sound. Obviously, that attitude won't at all do for a review. Give me some time then. I need to recover from the present infatuation with the cosmetic wow factor before I get down to sonic brass tacks. Otherwise I'll be completely besotted and pre-biased by appearance alone. Hot damn. Original!"

Jo, den passar ju rätt bra för den som har en Original 2008 CD.
Jag vet inte om jag tycker att den är vrålsnygg precis men häftig design helt klar. |

Srajan verkade tycka sådär men smaken är väl som baken. Själv är jag ruskigt nöjd, tycker den spelar fantastiskt. Har den stående på SD-kuddar vilket jag inbillade mig förbättrade ljudet något.
Det roligaste för mig själv är att jag för första gången någonsin verkligen hör en rejäl förbättring bara på grund av CD. Har aldrig hört så stor skillnad tidigare. Detta beror iofs delvis på att jag inte lyssnat till så fantastiskt många lite finare spelare. Jag kör den med Xindak FP-Gold strömkabel och FA-1 RCA tillsammans med en Myryad MI120.

"Hi Ping,
Just wanted to relay a little story. After reading Srajan's review, I actually began to wonder if my hearing wasn't failing me. My system is as follows: Atma-Sphere MP1 MKII pre; Atma-Sphere MA2.2 amp; Soundlab A-1 Speaker; Purist Audio Anniversary ICs; Magnan Signature speaker cables; expensive power cords; Original CD player.
After I read the review, I decided to see if I was going crazy or not. I went to a local dealer and asked if I could borrow what he considered to be his best CD player. I ended up with an Audio Research CD3MKII. Hesuggested this over the Consonance Droplet he had in stock as he thought the Audio Research blew it away.
Long story short, I compared the AR with the Original, same cables, power cords, volume settings etc... It took all of about three seconds to determine the winner. The Original absolutely destroyed the AR. In terms of extension on both extremes, midrange purity, soundstaging, imaging, presence, dynamics, transparency etc.. any parameter you could think of, the Original was the better player. I have compared and preferred the Original to the Esoteric DV50, Cary 303/300, Audio Research CD3MKII, Resolution Audio Opus 21 and an Electrocompaniet EMC1. I will admit that it took some tweaking to get the best out of the Original. The first thing I did was set the player on some Titanium cones and pucks. I built a platform using Aurios with a sand filled base on top and a sandwich of sorbothane and a Polycrystal shelf. It is dead, dead quiet and helped the player tremendously. I put an Electraglide Epiphany power cord on the unit and the Purist Audio Dominus IC. I also use a Marigo 3D stabilizer matt, black side up. I can hear some of the brightness that Srajan is referring to but I attribute that to the digital medium. It was much less the the Audio Research in my system. Bottem line is that I think with a few mods, this player could compete with anything I've heard. I haven't had the Zanden or Reimyo or the Emm that everyone is raving about but in the sub 10k price range, I think it's a winner. Sorry to be so long but I did want to share my experience with you. Good luck in the future with this player.
