The speakers use 3.5-way Tapered Array design that uses new proprietary horn-loaded tweeter assembly made from acoustically-dampening materials.
The midrange speakers use an inverted dome design and three high-output woofers give precise audio with high sensitivity and low distortion.
The Tractrix horn and ¾#8221; diaphragm tweeter give a high-frequency response of 3kHz to 30kHz.
Not only are the internal components of each set of speakers matched, the speaker cases are matched too for grain and color.

Wilson Alexandria X-2 Series 2 - $148000
The new midrange was developed by Wilson Audio, and the new tweeter better addresses the driver's back-wave reflections.
There are also new crossovers, and the cabinet now includes a cool-looking rear window that gives easier access to the resistors and Propagation Delay Correction hardware.
It also improves the speaker cabinet's resonance characteristics. Current X-2 owners can upgrade their speakers to include all of the sonic enhancements but not the new back plate.

In our state-of-the-art clean room, highly trained craftspeople spray the enclosure panels with successive layers of Akzo-Nobel primer followed by two layers of high-gloss base coat and five layers of high-gloss transparent coat. Between each layer application, the structure dries at room temperature for 5-7 days.
We check each newly painted dry surface by spraying on a thin contrasting test layer. This shows off the smallest of imperfections during polishing#8221; explains Wim, Siltech#8217;s master cabinet maker.
Enclosure
For our enclosures, Comsol#8482; optimized angled and dome-shaped multi-layer panels for minimal refraction (Siltech patent-pending) insure flat acoustical impedance to greatly improve driver performance.
The twin-cabinet architecture guarantees perfect mechanical isolation and the constrained-layer composite panels add high damping and stiffness to transform each Pantheon into a Comsol-engineered energy-neutral cabinet (Siltech#8482; patent-pending ENC system)

All drivers can withstand very high input power without distortion. The tweeter array includes a 0-15° (+75° to +90° ISO) vertical tilt adjustment to optimize the sound balance for your preferred listening position.
Crossover
The substantial crossover is optimized for minimum parts density despite its 4th-order architecture. All coils are patented supersonic air-core inductors weighing up to 5 pounds each.
