Kondo M-1000 MK2 - ca $100000
The Kondo M-1000 MK2 version has a newly developed Line and Phono module construction. Developed from the original M-1000, the MKII shares the same vacuum tubes and design, but is now built using new techniques to extend performance levels by reducing lead lengths, improving mechanical stability and optimizing critical ground layout.
Also, the built-in 80hz crossover enables users to match subwoofer precisely and easily, if required.
Dual Chassis Design.
This flagship M-1000 MKII preamplifier uses an independent main and power supply chassis to reduce noise and the effect of eddy current.
The power supply has been refined further, with double choke filtering, totally independent phono and line supplies, separate left and right filters incorporating an audio grade oil capacitor combination to yield a low stable impedance.
Silver Technology.
Bringing KSL technology to the fullest, the M1000 MKII uses our inhouse built silver lead capacitors, silver leaded resistors, and silver wiring from start to finish.

NBS Universal Audio Format CD Player - $40000

The Player supports DVD-A; SACD; Audio CD; ISO9660 CD-ROM containing .mp3 or .wma files. In the case of multi-channel DVD-A and SACD, all channels are supported.
The player is constructed in two sections.
The lower section contains NBS Power Conditioning and a universal input power-factor-corrected mains power supply as well as a mains entrance connector and breaker/power switch.
The front of the lower unit contains a row of LEDs to show the relative setting of the volume control.
The upper section contains extensive power decoupling and regulators, the disc drive, signal processing, D/A converters, level control circuits and output amplifiers.
The local operating controls and display are also in the upper unit.
The two units are separated physically to prevent any possibility of power supply interference to the operating section. However the units are not separable in the interest of eliminating unnecessary interconnections.
All the outputs are available either balanced on XL connectors or unbalanced on RCA connectors. All output connectors have gold-plated contacts. All 16 outputs can be used simultaneously if desired.
The source impedance is low and resistive and will tolerate any load. Cables of any length can be properly driven.
The main Left and Right outputs are provided in duplicate for convenience.
The L surround, R surround, Center and LFE outputs are also provided for multi-channel applications.
When 2-channel audio is being played, the Center outputs offer a derived center channel.
The volume control functions with perfect tracking across all six output channels. This makes it possible to operate without a preamplifier even in multichannel applications.
The mechanical construction is to the very highest standard. All internal shielding is by ¼" solid copper housings.
