Following several reports of mice or rats soiling headphones left in studios overnight, Canford has developed a cleaning fluid specifically designed to relieve the problem. Believed to be the first cleaning fluid formulated specifically for extracting the urine from foam headphone pads and fabric mesh popshields, this is the #8216;perfect solution#8217; for engineers and DJs working in rat or rodent infested underground studios, offshore radio or similar environments.
In the event that windshields or headphone pads become a little more pungent than hitherto, and colleague#8217;s personal hygiene issues have been ruled out, there is no need to let your musophobia get the better of you, simply apply this practically unique and highly recommended cleaner.
This active degreasing agent quite literally takes the pee. It is a subtle blend of cationic and non-ionic surfactants, now with added #8216;ammonium compounds#8217;, which cleans and freshens in one simple action, avoids the build-up of harmful bacteria, prevents signs of premature aging and leaves pads soft and manageable. Also effective in combating the aroma and other less savoury aspects of hamsters, gerbils, field mice, lemmings, chinchillas and many other wee furry beasties.
The cleaner is applied by diluting it in water; the foam items are then soaked in this for 5 minutes, then rinsed and allowed to dry thoroughly before reuse. A natural lemon and hickory (dickory dock) scent may be added, to ensure the rodents find the headphones particularly repugnant and deter future deposits! It is fully biodegradable, non-toxic, non-flammable and WEEE exempt.
