Marina Bousa
Things You Said to Me

Marina’s debut EP features a soul bearing and passionate collection of songs that speak to the generation of teens around the world.

Marina Bousa, a sixteen year old singer/songwriter hails from Wellesley in Massachusetts. Her love for music began as a toddler with her relentless renditions of Rogers and Hammerstein musicals. A chance meeting with a producer took Marina’s talent to a whole new level.
Marina is an incredibly passionate vocalist and self-taught pianist with a distinct original pop-rock style. Though she never formally learned the piano, she manages to baffle some outstanding players with her ingenious time changes and crafty style of playing on her self-penned tunes.

Alex Sweeton
Perfectly Broken

Gorgeous dark acoustic pop

It is oddly satisfying, gleefully tapping your foot while listening to Alex Sweeton's latest album, Perfectly Broken. Oddly satisfying because, chances are, the song you are tapping along to is not at all happy, but, rather, some story you’ve lived, won’t readily admit and really, really hope no one ever finds out about.

By balancing catchy melodies with dark instrumentation, Sweeton and producer Sammy Merendino (of Cyndi Lauper's band) successfully negotiate the murky, oxymoronic waters of combining very dark lyrics with music that still fit easily into the category of pop.

Linda Coogan
Holding Back

A raw true talent, drawing on folk ,jazz/blues and rock, with lyrics that weave stories of truth and experiance well beyond her years. Backed by a blend of rich instrumental harmonies, acoustic & electric guitars, bass, mandolin/bouzouki and drums/percuss

Irish born Singer songwriter Linda Coogan, came from a non musical family, but it didn't seem to phase her. In her late teens she picked up a guitar and went on her way. Joining forces with a school friend Eoin (her bassist and intrumentalist today) she began putting pen to paper to music. Lindas influences such as Guns and Roses, Tom Waits, The Carpenters, Folk music and Traditional irish music, are clearly seen in her own songs. However a certain originality exists between her own.

Karen Mal
Mercury's Wings

Karen Mal 's songs are like the old time remedy that mixed honey and lemon....They are sweet without being precious and have a lasting bite to them that makes them both memorable and good for you.

Born in New England, more recently from Wisconsin, Karen studied music and theatre in New York and worked in regional theatre for several years as an actor and musical director/composer. In 1999, shortly after she began writing songs, she settled in Austin to play music full-time. Since then, she has steadily carved out a niche in the Texas performing and songwriting scene.
