Joe Purdy
StompinGrounds

Sweet acoustic songs with a soul born of bluegrass and 60s folk. Easy melodies, great guitar licks. Honey molasses

Have you ever been hooked on the narrative of a conversation that you weren't supposed to hear? That is one of the things you might feel when listening to the music of singer/songwriter Joe Purdy. As he remembers an angry moment or a stolen kiss, his voice becomes startlingly intimate -- you can practically feel his breath on your ear. His sweet, folk- flavored melodies, coupled with the warm tones of an old Gibson guitar, are enough to make an audience blush.

Purdy's bluegrass roots show through on "StompinGrounds," the third independent release from the golden-voiced Arkansas native. Mandolin and banjo solos accent the likes of "Woman Go" and "Trouble," and good old-fashioned storytelling reigns throughout. But Purdy throws a few curveballs -- well-placed synthesizers on songs like "Rainy Day Lament" keep the sound fresh and closer to David Gray than Doc Watson. If you liked "Heartbreaker," you are bound to fall for "StompinGrounds."

MiKE WiLLis
in the red.

Singer songwriter, Mike Willis, is bringing his honest southern presence to stages and clubs across America. As homegrown as a Georgia peach, Willis has honed his style and performance at the famed Eddies Attic (in hometown decatur GA)watching live, mingling with, and often playing alongside such acts as Shawn Mullins, The Indigo Girls, Cary Pierce and John Mayer. Willis brings many of these different influences along with him Mike but has truly come into his own combining heartfelt and cleverly concieved lyrics with ear catching melodies and progressions. With his new release, "in the red" Willis pulls his listener closer not with over production and cheap tricks but with the honesty and sincerity that the music industry needs so desperately. In the years and months to come do keep your eyes and ears open for Mike Willis.

Jennifer Terran
Full Moon in 3

Breathtaking voice, authentic songwriting, music so beautiful it hurts- hear why critics all over the world consider Terran to be one of the most gifted singer songwriters. "Full Moon in 3" is her 3 year in the making masterpiece her 5th & latest release.

JENNIFER TERRAN & FULL MOON IN 3
Full Moon in 3 represents a true labor of love for the artist - a handcrafted recording created over a period of three years. Terran's music is, as always, fiercely and playfully its own invention. Her sound takes unexpected turns and her lyrics remind us that life is still meant to be discovered and redefined. "Full Moon" is a journey into the realm of nature, magic and outer space - a witchy uncovering of the soul.

The album features the amazing TODD SICKAFOOSE on bass(who's been duoing with Ani DiFranco the last couple years); multiple Grammy award winner HUSKY HOSKULDS who mixed the record (Tom Waits, Norah Jones, The Gipsy Kings, Sheryl, Aimee Mann, Lisa Germano, Fiona Apple etc..) and lovingly produced by Jennifer Terran.

More intimate reflections on "Full Moon in 3" and the music at www.jenniferterran.com

A little about Jen:
Jennifer Terran is an outstanding musician, vocalist, pianist, songwriter, entrepreneur and too many other things to mention. With her independent record label, Grizelda Records, she has put out five phenomenal solo records since 1997: "CRUEL", "RABBIT", "THE MUSICIAN", "LIVE FROM PAINTED CAVE" and her latest wonder, "FULL MOON IN 3".

Amos Lee

Folky soul, earthy blues, with songs driven by emotion, passion, and empathy, Amos Lee, a Philadelphia native, distinguishes his latest recording with strong songs that are diverse stylistically and rich in texture.

Highly influenced by soul, folk, and blues music, Amos Lee directs his music with a spirit and presence rooted in American tradition. Taking inspiration from soul greats Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway, and folk legends, John Prine and Dave Van Ronk, Amos delivers a unique breed of folky soul music that aims to unite, uplift, and inspire.

Freshly transplanted from South Carolina, Amos is now based in Philadelphia, Pa. where he is working on his second CD and gigging steadily in the Philly, NY, NJ area.

There are only a few of this early ep left. When these are gone, they are gone forever! So, if you are interested in this ep, you'd better buy it now. I love CD BABY, they have been fantastic!!! I have a new album out released on Blue Note Records which is available in stores.
Thanks for your support.
