Christine Tier
A smooth and rootsy blend of jazz, pop, country and alternative rock.

This Toronto based singer songwriter was raised on Gordon Lightfoot and Bob Dylan, in the Northern Ontario town of Sault Ste Marie. She got her first guitar for her sixteenth birthday, learned to play and started writing songs. She studied voice at the conservatory during her undergraduate studies, played in a local cover band and wrote heart wrenching folk and country ballads. After living and working in the north, as well as in Ottawa and Galveston Texas, Christine went to law school and settled in Toronto to practice law in 1999. But even mountains of legal reading could not dampen her musical spirit!

Cady McClain
Blue Glitter Fish

Expressive, vivid and at times heart wrenchingly beautiful" lyrics and powerful melodies with musical influences ranging from jazz and American roots, to latin and Lou Reed.

Cady McClain

Biography

A Southern California native, Cady McClain soaked up the sounds of the tumultuous late sixties and early seventies while wondering the then untouched beaches and landscape of Laguna. Her mother’s love of American roots music was introduced to Cady through her collection of songbooks and instruments including the hammered dulcimer, the recorder, the concertina, and the auto harp, as well as a stand up piano and Yamaha guitar.

She bought the full collection of Beatles Albums including “Rarities” from money she made dancing in “Pennies From Heaven, when she was twelve. Cady was strongly drawn to the experimentation of The Beatles’ White Album, the dual album described by critics as either “scatershot” or “singularly gripping in its musical experience”.

Monica Allison
Melancholy Girl

A crystal clear voice that will break your heart, Monica Allison is open, honest, and sings from the beautiful darkness of melancholy.

With a crystal clear voice that will break your heart, Monica Allison is one songwriter that makes people sit up and listen. More blue than black, she is open, honest, and sings from the beautiful darkness of melancholy.

A songwriter by hobby, she came to New York City to find work as an actress but in no time found her path to music. She's played all over the city and released her debut album Melancholy Girl in August of 2006, a completely independent project with incredible producer Rob Arthur.

Good musicians speak to people on some basic level...great musicians, through music and word bring people to a level of empathy with what it means to be a human being... the human experience. With her nine original songs mostly about broken relationships, you will find yourself saying.. "I thought that thought, I lived that story. That was me."
