Jimmy Hill - Wee Small Hours...

After these many years, I'm delighted that folks enjoy hearing my sound of gentle alto sax Jazz.

Jazz Saxophonist Jimmy Hill
"I started playing in 1942, at the age of 14, when I found my brother's saxophone in the hall closet."
After sneaking his brother's saxophone out of the closet, Jimmy fell in love with the saxophone and music and continued to play through high school and later in clubs and concerts.
Jimmy's career, now in it's sixth decade, has led him to playing with some of the tri-state area's best musicians. Artist such as Etta Jones, Benny Green, Gloria Coleman, Sonny Stitt, Cedar Walton, Houston Person, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Joe Puma
to name a few.

Well known to the New York Jazz audiences, Jimmy Hill is also a Westchester native, born and raised in Tuckahoe. He is largely self-taught as an alto and tenor saxophonist.
"I learned to improvise using my ears, at The Bucket, a joint in Mt. Vernon that was the Minton's of Westchester."

Everyone associated with the Texas music scene knows Bert Wills as truly a Texas Blues-Rock legend. Known for his wide variety of music styles, Bert is an all 'round' musician, writing and singing great blues as you will find on his first two recordings Mr. Politician and Special Session and once again on his fourth release Tell Me Why. His third release Pavones Sunset steps away from traditional blues and enters the surf music genre. This cd release is licensed to legendary surfer/filmmaker, Herbie Fletcher for use in Fletcher's surfing film, Stylemasters. Bert's music earned Grammy nominations in 1995 and 1996.

Sharon Montgomery
Let's Misbehave

A hip selection of swingin' standards and gorgeous ballads backed by the best guitarist and bass player you ever heard

While this is Sharon Montgomery's first solo project, she's been around a long time. Audiences across the United States will remember Sharon as one-third of the popular vocal trio MONTGOMERY, PLANT, & STRITCH, with whom she toured for seven years during the 1980's. This fun trio swung its way through some of the biggest jazz festivals in America and Europe, including the JVC Festivals in Nice and at Carnegie Hall, the Newport Jazz Festival, and the North Sea Festival in Den Hag, Holland. The group worked regularly at the Algonquin Hotel and the Cafe Carlyle in Manhattan, the Ritz in London, the Copley Plaza in Boston, and the famous Fairmont Hotels in San Francisco, Dallas, and Chicago. During their time together, this trio accumulated a steadfast and loyal following across the country and into Europe.

Chris Keller & Aurora Jazz
Love is the Answer

Tasteful, soulful, classic acoustic jazz with that "Healin' Feelin'".

Love Is The Answer Aurora - Ballads Performance: 4- Sound: 4-

"O's Notes: Chris plays piano and sings on this upbeat collection of songs that swing. It's mostly instrumental versions of popular classics like "Song For My Father" with a few nice vocal arrangements like "The Shadow of Your Smile" and "Nature Boy". It's soft, relaxing and a nice backdrop for your next dinner party." O's Place Jazz
