Audio Research har kommet med en ny stereoforsterker i Reference serien - Reference 110.
Fra ARCDB
Externals
The chassis dimensions are identical to those of a REFERENCE 210. The front panel has a power switch and corresponding LED. It does not have the vacuum-fluorescent display found on the larger reference series mono amplifiers.
Internals
The REFERENCE 100 has a push-pull, fully balanced circuit, and the internal layout is similar in appearance to the REFERENCE 210.
The right and left channel boards are mounted horizontally, flanking the transformers mounted on a raised central channel running front to back. A small LCD display indicating tube hours is mounted on the front of the right channel board and is visible through the top.
Two small 12 VDC fans are mounted on the rear panel, with a small internal switch allowing the fan speed to be set to low, medium or high.
Biasing is performed internally and is both simple and straightforward, with insulated test points on the main boards.
Output stage coupling is a combination of Ultralinear and Audio Research's Partially Cathode Coupled topology, yielding better sound than conventional pentode or triode operation.
Inputs/outputs
The REFERENCE 110 has balanced XLR inputs only. There are two 12 V triggers (input and output) allowing remote turn-on. There is also a 20A IEC connector for the power cord.
