hey leroy
the things you remember most aren't things

hey leroy is a unique blend of singer/songwriter alternative acoustic rock.

Hey Leroy have the components of a typical band: three guys in their mid-twenties playing guitar, bass and drums. What is not typical is the resulting sound, best described as indie/acoustic rock. The influence of such artists as Elliot Smith and George Harrison can be heard from time to time in the songwriting of Nate Etchison and Tim Newman, the band's lead singer/guitarist and bassist. Rounded out by the rhythmically gifted, airtight percussionist Jared Newcomb, Hey Leroy aims to create music the listener feels like he remembers even if it's the first time it has been heard. Catchy hooks, great harmonies and heartfelt, sometimes thought-provoking lyrics are a few of the band's greatest assets. Based out of the near southwest suburbs of Chicago, the group has been busy these last eighteen months writing, recording and touring. Hey Leroy has compiled over twenty-five original pieces, seven of which can be heard on the band's debut EP, The Things You Remember Most Aren’t Things.

Angie Palmer
Road

Acoustic, singer/songwriter with haunting songs laced with meaningful lyrics in the spirit of Gillian Welch,Joni Mitchell, and Bonnie Raitt

Four Stars from Mojo Magazine and Five Stars from Country Music People magazine!!

"One of the best Singer-Songwriters in Britain...gorgeous, wonderful music on this album Road"
Bob Harris. BBCRadio2

This is the third album from an accomplished Singer/Songwriter.
Angie Palmer gives us beautiful songs, great lyrics and her great voice. Listen to this album!!

"With the warmth of Joni Mitchell, she's the kind of artist that evokes a spontaneous exhale; a relieved sigh that comes from the comfort of her rich, solid songwriting and the modern ring of contemporary handling, reminiscent of Shawn Colvin. Angie Palmer weaves the ring of her guitar with the resonant buzz of her hearty voice and the lilting message of her songs, occasionally blessed by the voice of cello, into a collection of lightly country-tinged gems."

Jeff Krebs
Keep an Eye Out

Soothing and eclectic Americana songwriter's songwriter that mixes two-steps with tangos, surf rock with old-time bluegrass.

NOTES
From the wilds of northern Michigan, Jeff Krebs mixes folk, country, rock, along with many styles of world music to create his heartfelt story-songs.
"Those who hear Krebs will instantly take him to heart. His songs are so well written you can't help but listen, finding yourself hooked moments later. He defines what it means to be a songwriter, and "Keep an Eye Out" is one of the year's best albums. I'll give this an A+." (Alex Steininger, inmusicwetrust.com

Janis Ian
Janis Ian Live: Working Without A Net

Before there was Jewel, there was Janis Ian" - Rolling Stone Magazine. The best of ten year's worth of live shows, recorded all over the world, straight onto two-track with no remixing and no fixes. "The real thing".

Working Without a Net" is a double CD!! Janis Ian had her first hit with the self-penned Society's Child, a song about an interracial teenage romance, at the age of 14. The song was immensely controversial, with radio stations being burned down and people being fired for playing it. Three years of constant touring and recording followed, after which she left the music business to concentrate on writing. She returned with the album "Between the Lines", winner of two Grammy awards and featuring At Seventeen. Over the next decade, she had multi-platinum records throughout Europe, Australia, North America, and Japan, where she was #1 on the charts for six months. Ian currently resides in Nashville with her domestic partner of 15 years, writing songs for other artists (Bette Midler, John Mellencamp, Joan Baez among others) and making her own albums. Ian has been a firm supporter of online downloading for years, and considers the Internet "the last free space". You can read more about Janis Ian on her website, www.janisian.com, which currently features "The Making of a CD", a real time audio and textual walk-through of the making of this album. "MOCD" includes drafts of song lyrics from beginning to finish, and audio of songs from their first "worktape" incarnation through the final mix.

Michael Dean Damron
A Perfect Day for a Funeral

Think an angrier, more potent Steve Earle; this is beautiful, but pissed-off folk-country-blues-soul for the restless.

Michael Dean Damron's debut solo record, "A Perfect Day for a Funeral", is full of love and hate. With some of the Northwest's best players (in the blues, folk, and country scene), Damron has created a soulful, rich collection of melodic, intimate songs that give you a deep look into his psyche.

For those familiar with Michael Dean Damron, (also known as Mike D., front-man for the political rock 'n' roll outfit I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House), "A Perfect Day for a Funeral" is a long time coming.

Engineered, mixed, and produced by accomplished producer and multi-instrumentalist musician Lewi Longmire (Jackie O-Mother****er, Kevin "Bingo" Richey, James Low, Little Sue, and Michael Hurley), "A Perfect Day for a Funeral" finds Damron singing about what he knows.
