The Cowlicks CWA (Cowboys with Attitude)
If Hank Williams and Tom Petty met, got trashed and ended up jamming, it might have come out like this. This is California alt-Country at its best, with an emphasis on ALT.
The Cowlicks have had a blessed 2004. Our "CWA" was named in the top 4 cds of 2004 by The San Jose Mercury News, and we were also a top seller on Miles of Music, placing at # 39 for the year! Dang! The Rasputin Music chain in the bay area had us in their top ten recommended Alt. Country releases for 2004. Here's to a great 2005!
The Cowlicks are the proud WINNERS of The California Music Awards for "Outstanding Country/Alt. Country Album of 2004"! (formerly the Bammies), for their CD "CWA". Thanks to all of you who voted for us. The Licks are still a little in shock. How in the heck did we beat Buck and Merle? It's a bovine holiday! Check out the Cowlicks web site, www.thecowlicks.com for photos shot at the California Music Awards ceremony on Sunday June 6th.

Frank Goodman All the Way Down
Love songs with a groove. Folk pop meets jazz, and become an item
I've been playing professionally for 25 years, mostly with my brother Billy in The Goodman Brothers.
Sometimes a folk duo, sometimes a rock quintet, we played over a thousand shows on both coasts and in Europe.
Our folk CD "Crooked Smile" (Taxim records, Germany) received a four star review in the German Rolling Stone.
This is my solo debut, a somewhat jazzier record cut with session player friends this year in Nashville. Pop for grownups.

Delta 88
Hard driving American music that would put a smile on Johnny Cash's face.
Combining elements of various American musical genres such as country, jazz, folk, and rockabilly, Delta 88 creates a unique style that is at once original and familiar.
Delta 88's debut album represents the culmination of a year of playing out in the Ann Arbor area.
The trio of Danny Kline (voice), Alex Anest (guitar), and John Sperendi (bass) was augmented on various tunes by guest drummers, horn players, and especially Jeff Plankenhorn on Dobro.
Delta 88 relies on the talents of its members to convey the meaning of its tunes.
The songs, mostly written by Danny, are honest and simple reflections of real life.
Alex and John weave flowing melodic lines around Danny's vocals to create an atmosphere appropriate for each composition, from mellow and relaxed to driving and energetic.
