vad menar ni med att en förstärkare klipper? hadde ett bil slutsteg som gav upp ibland på grund av tung bas men då blev det tyst en stund. sen gick den igång igen

Ett förstärkarsteg har en matningsspänning och då kan av naturliga skäl inte utsignalen överstiga matningsspänningen ==> topparna blir kapade (avklippta!).

- Har man alltså så hög ingångssignal att toppvärdet på utsignalen skulle överstiga matningsspänningen så klipper den.
