Pianisten Kimiko Ishizaka är inte bara otroligt duktig på att spela, hon gillar också "Open Source" i musikvärlden. Utöver att stödja projekt som OpenScore så har hon spelat in Goldbergvariationerna och släppt dem helt fria (Creative Commons Zero för er som är juridiknördar) och de kan laddas ned i valfria format (inklusive FLAC) här:

Och nu kom nästa projekt från samma pianist: Die Kunst der Fuge ska spelas in i fritt format, och hon söker finansiering via Kickstarter. Jag petade in en slant, och hoppas på lite extra godis utöver FLAC-filerna i vinter. :)

Och extramaterial om de får in mer pengar:

At EUR 20,000 we will release a Master Tracks version of the recording,
also freely licensed, which people can use to make their own mixes and
masters of the recording. Each track is a single microphone in studio
quality, and you can thus gain insight into the recording process. No
other studio recordings offer this!

Fuga-kickstarten har nu nått första övermålet: 20 000 EUR. Därmed kommer man släppa råfiler från alla mickar i studion, för den som vill mixa och mastra själv. Cool. :)
