Jag gillar egentligen inte sånt här men måste medge att jag blir nyfiken. Ett chip som rättar till fel i CD-spelarens klocka (så att det blir mindre jitter)! Och den ska inte ens placeras i signalvägen utan tejpas fast i CD-såelaren ovanför CD:n.
Har någon provat? Bondfångeri eller avancerad kvantfysik??


From the Golden Sound website: "The Intelligent Chip is a thin, orange 1 x 1.5 inch rectangular wafer that automatically upgrades the disc in the player when the Chip is placed momentarily on top of the player above the spinning disc. The upgrade itself is virtually instantaneous#8212;and permanent..." The very brief explanation that follows talks about problems "#8230;produced by slight fluctuations in the master clock(s) when pressing the disc#8230; The Intelligent Chip corrects the clock-fluctuation problem within 2 seconds." The corrected disc is claimed to sound, "clearer/less distorted, with a deeper soundstage, more "air", and lower background noise".

Jo jag såg att uppfinningen varit uppe till debatt i redan i euphonia bland annat. Sen har John Atkinson i Stereophile gjort tummen ner #8211; på nå't sätt tyckte jag det var skönt. Chipet funkar helt enkelt inte, det bygger på inbillning och önsketänkande. Ett sätt att lura oss ljudnördar som är ofta är neurotiska perfektionister.
