Esoteric har kommet med en ny versjon av P-03; Universal.
Prisen på Universal er 1,6 mill. yen i japan, den vanlige P-03 1,2 mill.
I Tyskland er prisen på P-03 12000 euro.
Highly acclaimed VRDS-NEO mechanism (Newly developed vibration free, rigid disc clamping system), AC power drive components, chassis construction, and cosmetics ...the P-03 "Universal" shares most of its basic design features with the P-03.
The new P-03 Universal integrates proven, high quality video processing technology with enhancements by ESOTERIC, providing high definition (HD), video resolution from your existing DVD collection.
Unlike other players using 10 bit or 12 bit video processing, the P-03 Universal is equipped with the latest 14 bit / 216 MHz video D / A converter from Analog Devices,
and the newest video scaling chip from Anchor Bay Technologies.
This provides for DVD video up-conversion capability as high as 1080p (progressive scan).
In addition to conventional playback, the P-03 Universal features PCM to DSD signal conversion, and native DSD mode for SACD audio.
Users may select suitable digital conversion options based on personal preference relative to the type of source material used or the category of software selected.
