Many are the possible ways that lead to a successful musical interplay in the language of jazz. Elena Poletti chooses to emphasize, with her mature and distinct vocal personality, her unique arrangement of every tune.
Listening to the Italian modern jazz singer performing standards and modern jazz classics with her band, established from some years in Germany, one gets completely involved in the magical interaction and the modern improvising, where the perfect interplay shows that she has found the right partners in music.

Noubarian / Heywood Believe It
From the title cut, “Believe It.,” to the cookin’ duet on “A Day In The Life Of A Fool,” this album offers a wonderful sampling of contemporary jazz featuring piano and guitar.
From the opening cut, Simple Gifts, to the toe tapping Zip-pa-dee-doo-da, Believe It! offers a playful approach to jazz. The material is reminiscent of west coast artists like Lee Ritenour and Joe Sample, with a few standards like Alone Together and Black Orpheus included for listeners who appreciate classic jazz.
The arrangements are fresh and the playing is spontaneous. James Reaney (London Free Press) said, “Heywood and Noubarian are at their smooth jazz best.” John Sharpe (Scene Magazine) called it, “…an impressive effort, Four stars!” Although primarily an instrumental album, Believe It! offers a sampling of three original vocal tunes. The title cut, Believe It!, written by Heywood, has an upbeat Latin flavour featuring guest vocalist, Jessie Ross, a singer with an intimate sound and a velvet voice.
