Baneful Storm
Down With The Blues

Hard Rock N' Roll with mean blues influence

Coming together in the spring of 1998, Baneful Storm is a hard rocking band from Los Angeles, CA, playing everything from mean blues to rock n' roll. Baneful Storm's line up consists of Frank Aguiniga on Vocals, Joe Herrera on guitar, Carlos Reveles on bass, and Donald "Loose Cannon" Coccellato on drums. Their original material contains an excellent deep guitar oriented blues sound while still delivering that good ol' rock n' roll feeling.

Baneful Storm have gone into a studio to work on their debut CD release "DOWN WITH THE BLUES." They've continued to work together as they bring forth one of the best rock n' roll shows around.

Joe's whailing guitar riffs and screaming leads along with COZ & The Cannon's powerful rythm section make a great combination while Frank's rough n' rowdy vocals allow you to feel the passion in each song. Playing mainly originals but also jamming on songs from Clapton, Credence, the late Hendrix & SRV, their style has gotten bigger & better every show. From thier slower blues jams to the hard rockin' faster paced songs, Baneful Storm delivers a powerful and exceptional show you won't soon forget.

Will Lee & Bill Lee
BirdHouse

Smoking' jazz played by modern players in traditional style. Bill Lee: Piano, Will Lee: Bass, Billy Hart: Drums, Michael Brecker: saxophone, Randy Brecker: trumpet. And more.

About BirdHouse
This jubilant celebration of Charlie Parker's music is not only a paean to the legendary alto saxophonist and bebop pioneer who died on March 12, 1955 at the age of 34, it is also a family affair that unites father and son in their first-ever recording project together.

Dr. William F. Lee III (or Bill to his friends) is a jazz educator of much renown who co-founded the International Association for Jazz Education and served as one of its past presidents and executive director. An academic innovator, he held positions of professor, dean and vice president at St. Mary's University, the University of Texas at Austin, Sam Houston State University, The University of Miami and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is also an acclaimed author, having penned stellar biographies on such jazz greats as Stan Kenton, Bill Evans and Maynard Ferguson. What is not so well known about Dr. Lee is that he actually gigged with Charlie Parker back in 1950 when he was a 21-year-old aspiring pianist, fresh from North Texas State University and eager to get his feet wet on the New York jazz scene. And he couldn't have fallen into a more eye-opening situation than to be sharing the bandstand with the fabled Bird.

"I was lucky to be around when all that was happening," says the 72-year-old Dr. Lee in retrospect. "It was a really magical time."

Pat Orchard
Shabby Road

Powerful songs using open-tuned acoustic guitar with effects. A cross between Nick Drake and Pink Floyd. Moody. Dark. Haunting.

Shabby Road is the new CD by Pat Orchard available as a limited edition import only.

Anyone who has seen Pat perform live knows that he can create a stunning effects with just one acoustic guitar.

Powerful songs using open-tuned acoustic guitar with effects...a cross between Nick Drake and Pink Floyd!

Anyone who witnessed Pat Orchard's several memorable performances at Terrastock 3 (where he played everyday, throwing himself into the event completely with all the abandon we've grown to love of our favoured artists) will welcome this new release with open arms.

'Shabby Road' captures his heart-felt songwriting, passion-streaked vocals and lyrical genius in a way none of his records have done before. Largely gone are the studio effects, instead its just Pat, his voice and his layers of twenty-fingered guitar, sounding much the way he did on stage that unforgettable weekend in August

Alex Skolnick Trio
Goodbye To Romance: Standards For A New Generation

As featured in Downbeat (****1/2), Billboard, Jazziz, Guitar Player and more: High energy jazz versions of classic hard rock/metal tunes from the 70's and 80's by the likes of Kiss, Scorpions, Black Sabbath and more.

Alex Skolnick Trio, (aka Skol Trio), is a New York based group consisting of guitar, upright bass and drums. This may not seem unusual at first, but upon closer inspection, there are a few things, which set it apart from the many other trios performing in the New York area. One is that the group is fronted by guitarist Alex Skolnick.

In 1992, after several years as a heavy metal guitar hero with Testament, Alex decided to risk it all and devote his life to the process of music closest to his heart: improvisation. Eventually, he ended up in New York City, pursuing a BFA in jazz from New School University (received June 2001). It was here that he met two young twentysomethings: Matt Zebroski (a Pittsburgh Pa. Native who studied with Roger Humphries and Billy Hart) and John Graham Davis (who, in addition to being a working bassist, also runs live sound for the likes of Michael Brecker, John Pattitucci and others).
