Larry Edoff - Duende

Many people have expressed that they connect with Larry’s music on a cellular level - that the music and lyrics resonate deep within their being and that they return to a song over and over again.

Larry Edoff has created an extraordinary musical journey in his latest release Duende. The album is a fearless explosion of songwriting, including the title song “Duende,” driven by a spectacularly orchestrated rhythm section, Flamenco guitar, Andalusian vocals, topped off by Edoff’s earthy piano and soaring voice. The lyrics of “Love Will Always Come Back” confess all that is intimate and fragile on the path of love. Larry’s piano shimmers and digs within the same breath, using his jazz and classical background to infuse all tracks on the album with masterful musicianship paired with playful spontaneity. The solo tracks are highlights, Edoff’s aching voice in “Cradle Me Warm” and “I Have Come For You” resonates with an honesty that throbs in the very soul of the listener.

Leanne Trevalyan
Half Naked

An awesome singer songwriter with velvety vocals and wonderful textures of acoustic and electric guitars, piano, B3, fiddle mandolin and more.

"Leanne this is Nick Vigarino calling you. How in the hell are you. I have a pile of CDs and I finally got a chance to listen to Half Naked and man - I just wanted to tell you - I've always liked your songwriting but this one takes the cake. Really, really good stuff. Really clean production, cool songs. Great songs man - ahh lyrics I really like. I think it's your best work - it's killer and I just wanted to tell you that. I could hardly get through the damn thing without calling you. At one point I actually got chocked up, and if you can make ME get a lump in my throat - something's up. You take care and keep it up. It was good seeing you too in the spring - OK dearest, talk to you soon." Nick Vigarino - award winning NW guitarist/songwriter

Hinda Hoffman
You Are There

Jazz vocalist Hinda Hoffman’s CD, “You Are There,” is an eclectic collection of ballads, bossa novas and uptempo jazz standards with a mellow feel.

"One of the best singers in the business. She's the real thing, a singer with not only a fine voice, but an authentic feeling for jazz. You can understand her every word, and her simple sound is just lovely. For you excellence freaks out there, it's a treat."

Steve Allen, noted pianist, composer and author.

"What a voice. A rich ruby instrument, dark and full and at times gleaming; like Dexter Gordon's tenor or Jim Hall's guitar."

Neil Tesser, Jazz Critic, Chicago Reader.

After attending Bloom School of Jazz in 1988, Hinda Hoffman spent several years honing her skills at "open mike" nights in Chicago jazz clubs. In 1993, she was selected as the featured vocalist in the "Jazz in July" program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Hinda has performed at the Chicago Jazz Festival, the Cabaret Convention in New York City, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, and Van Dyke's Café in Miami Beach. She appears in clubs throughout Chicagoland, and her CDs, You Are There and Moon and Sand, can be heard on jazz radio stations across the country.

Don Latarski & Marilyn Keller
Nightingale

This is an intimate recording of a low strung baritone acoustic guitar played in a jazzy/blues style having a conversation with a very talented vocalist. All the songs are well known songs from the pop and jazz repertoire.

Don Latarski is known nationally as a gifted performer, composer and author. His recordings include: “Haven,” “Lifeline,” “Private Affair,” “How Many Ways,” “NorthWest of December,” “Deep Play,” “Rue 2,” “Natural Instincts,” “Eden Hall Sessions,” “Fab 4 on 6,” “Fab 4 on 6 vol.2,” “Acoustic Evidence,” and “Guitars on Holiday.” He’s been playing the guitar since 1963.

His numerous Warner Bros. Publications include: "Introduction to Chord Theory,” "Scale Patterns for Guitar,” "Movable Guitar Chords,” "Arpeggios for Guitar,” "Chord Orbits,” "Chord Embellishments,” "Practical Theory for Guitar,” "Guitar Theory Basics,” “The Ultimate Guitar Chord Big Book,” “Blues Chords,” “Jazz Chords,” “First Chords,” “Barre Chords,” “Blues Guitar,” and “The Ultimate Guitar Chord Gig Bag Book.”

Born and raised in the shadow of Motown in the small town of Romeo, Michigan, Latarski moved to Oregon in 1973. He quickly established himself in the rock and blues scene and soon realized that he knew nothing about playing jazz. Out of frustration at not being able to sit in with the local jazzbo’s, he immersed himself in the slippery language of jazz. Too poor to take lessons, he taught himself by listening to the local NPR college jazz station and by hanging out with other players with a better grip on the vocabulary.

Bill DiCosimo Quartet
Grab Hold of Your Dreams

Jazz flavored Latino, Pop and Blues.

Bill DiCosimo formed his own quartet to focus on a performing group that would consider taking any good song, regardless of style and make it their own with an influential eye towards jazz and improvisation as the underlying foundation. This way, audiences identify with the song itself and enjoy how it becomes re-invented or interpreted to suit the personalities of the group. As the quartet’s influences and tastes are varied – Latino, World Music, Blues, Jazz-Rock, Modal and Funk, the mix of these “flavors” makes a unique blend of musical output. Not a new concept by any means but effectively presented by the musical prowess of this group.

Bill DiCosimo also uses the quartet as a vehicle for his writing and arranging. Particularly writing songs to feature his wife and vocalist of the group, Lisa who also has a tremendous ear for finding unique cover material to sing. Bill, as a keyboardist with a long history of performing with or opening for a number of artists such as: Dave Valentin, Stanley Turrentine, Tom Scott, Warren Hill, The Braxton Brothers, Average White Band among others, has teamed with two of Central New York’s premier rhythm section performers: Edgar Pagan, bassist and founder of Grupo Pagan who’s Latin Rock Band has taken the Northeast by storm (of which Bill plays keyboards!) and Frank Neubert, drummer who is also a member of Grupo Pagan as well as having a long track record as a performer and session drummer.
