Sarena Paton is known to have one of the most angelic voices in our country. After graduating from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, receiving the Alumni Gold Medal in Spanish, Sarena has enjoyed a busy schedule with the release of her debut CD, “Almost Like Love.” As a jazz singer, she has performed at the World Cycling Championships, the Queen’s Jubilee at Copps Coliseum, the Juno Beach Memorial and the Vienne Jazz Festival in France as well as the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 2003 fronting the Hamilton All Star Jazz Band. She has worked with David Braid, Russ Fearon, Bil Holinaty, Matt Kennedy, Mike Malone, Cary Santucci, Henry Strong Dr. Russ Weil. While re-inventing jazz standards with her own flair, Sarena’s true passion is to discover the overlooked, unfamiliar songs to make her own. Her unique style, spirit and affection for her audience promise an exciting future for Sarena.
