Amy Fairchild - Mr. Heart

These acoustic folk-pop tracks bring to mind the best of Jonatha Brooke and Shawn Colvin

With the 2002 release of her CD Mr. Heart, Amy Fairchild has come into her own. Critical acclaim gathered fast for this self-released effort. According to Steve Morse of the Boston Globe, Fairchild is "...on the verge of big things." In the words of rock critic Dave Marsh, "If there still was a recording industry, this would come out on a major label...and would be such a big hit that you'd be sick of her by now. Not many people make records this good". Album Network says, "Reminiscent of Sheryl Crow, Fairchild effortlessly delivers natural lyrics and organic vocals while her band keeps it rocking. This stuff is really cool." Seth Rogovoy, in the Dec 6th Berkshire Eagle picked Mr. Heart as one of his top 10 CD Releases for 2002.

Deb Pasternak
Eleven

One can put it in the same vein as Rickie Lee Jones or Sheryl Crow, but it's a great CD no matter how you describe it.

There's no one else making music that sounds like Deb's right now.

One can put it in the same vein as Rickie Lee Jones or Sheryl Crow, or one can say her live performances draw from Chet Baker or Tom Petty, but that's really all a matter of opinion.

Deb's mission is to stay true to her voice in an honest way that celebrates life in all of its aspects; from difficult to easy.

To this end, she has spent much of the past few years working with the finest musicians and audiences that she can find to create memorable live and recorded performances.

Here is the bio: She comes from all over New England. For the past eight years, she has been writing music, practicing guitar, and recording three albums. She has driven all over this country playing shows in intimate settings.

She has learned that people are the most amazing gift life has to offer, and she has worked with some of the greatest musicians she has ever heard.

Is her music good? That's something you are supposed to decide. So take a listen. We think you'll like it.

Cory Sipper
Orbiter

Lyrics and melodies that will stir your conscience - the real deal. Cory journeys farther than ever before on her third release. Brilliantly produced by Bruce Winter.

Cory Sipper Biography and Press

People always ask: What does your music sound like? Radio has classified it as "Triple A" (Adult Album Alternative.) In reviews, I have been compared to folk/pop/rock singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin and Sarah McLaughlin. The description that works best for me is: a singer/songwriter who writes from her heart as best she can.

I started performing my own creations (accompanying myself on the piano) in Junior High School. I spent one year at The Berklee College of Music in Boston in1991. When I came home, at 19, I was playing an acoustic guitar. I started out as a solo artist and released my first album "Life Affirming" in my own bedroom with a group of local musician-friends. After that I organized a band called "Ladybug Garden." We released one album together. The best of those two albums are now on one CD called "The Bedroom Tapes."

*********************************************************

Reckless drunks, redemption-seeking drag queens, horny good girls, stray dogs, even the rare well-adjusted lover...all are characters populating Stranger Than Fiction, the latest from Nashville-based singer/songwriter Kathy Hussey. Those unfamiliar with the charms of this fresh folk/pop voice will know her well and likely find her quite enchanting after spending some time with the new disc.

The Alice Project
Traveling With Lady Berlin

Like an orange. Fun, fresh, and original pop. The strong performances, melodies and lyrics linger and permeate the spirit.

Alice can take some comments on love, and make you love in that moment.

She can make some comments on pain and hurt, put some sharp wit and a fun groove to it - and help you remember that you can rely on yourself to get through.

But overall, people look to rock & roll to take them away from the chores and work of their lives - to escape, have fun, find joy, understand emotions, feel...

The Alice Project delivers on all levels.
