India Arie quoted on stage during her performance, "I heard this amazing voice and had to follow that sound" when referring to one of Knight's shows that she attended in San Francisco. She later asked Knight to be her opening act.

A fitting description, as she was voted one of the top female vocalists in the world by the readers of Japan's Burrn Magazine, and in the top twenty in several other international magazine polls.
The young singer has already created a buzz on the underground music scene, stemming from a duet she sang with James LaBrie of Dream Theater, as well as several other guest appearances with internationally known artists. These recordings have led to extensive critical acclaim in the underground press, and to live appearances at prestigious venues such as the Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA, and The War Memorial Theater in Trenton, NJ. She has also sung the national anthem several times at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia before Phillies games, as well as at Waterfront Park in Trenton, NJ, home to one of the New York Yankees' farm teams.
