Amanda Baisinger - Short Songs

Amanda Baisinger enchants her listeners with a combination of elegance, emotion and sophisticated artistry. One of the most quietly striking albums of its sort to grace our warehouse in ages

The Short Songs project was written primarily in 2005. Amanda had the help of a few wonderful musicians. Charlie Banacos, her teacher, has been a great inspiration and source of amusement. Peter Slavov, Vardan Ovsepian and Aaron Parks all contributed to the arrangements and to Amanda’s confidence in the project. The full-length album was recorded at the Peter Karl Studio in May 2005. Amanda prides herself in her all-star band, Aaron Parks/piano, Keith Ganz/guitar, Peter Slavov/bass and Kendrick Scott/drums. Keith Ganz mixed the album and it was mastered at DB Studios in New York. Tal Goretsky designed the CD jacket cover and Aram Jibilian took the photos.

Keith James
No.1 Paradise Road

Known for his interpretations of Nick Drake, Keith James's own style hints at a similar sound world but delves into a rich, personal vocabulary, colored by full-bodied harmonies and plush instrumentation, with subtle touches of jazz and rootsy rock.

Born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, Keith spent his early years in Surrey and Berkshire. Now residing in Canterbury, he is one of England's most well known analogue producers and engineers, dedicated to Singer/Songwriters, Folk, Roots and Jazz. Keith is very much dedicated to the purpose of the "Singer/Songwriter" and assists most of the artists in his studio in a much deeper and more "hands on" capacity than merely recording them.

Fran Lucci
Blue Day

Pop with a country feel; picture Sheryl Crow joining the Dixie Chicks with a little bit of Norah.

NOTES
"Blue Day" is Fran's latest CD and contains songs that have a county/pop flavor to them. The legendary producer Phil Ramone left his mark on three of the songs on this CD 'The Last Time', 'King of Sensitivity' and 'Temporary Sanity'. Mark Christian gathered Lucinda Williams touring band for the recordings of the chixified 'Blue Day' and 'Broken Heart'. 'I'll Be Loviing You' replaced a Norah Jones song on the Dawson's Creek Season V DVD release and many fans have been writing to Fran looking for an MP3 of the song.

Fran is very busy writing more songs for her next CD. In the meantime, she hopes you enjoy "Blue Day".

Erich Avinger
Poets, Misfits, Beggars and Shamans

Erich Avinger is working on redefining jazz standards with his classical guitar using nylon strings as well as his hollow body guitar. His fluid playing incorporates fingerstyle picking of Michael Hedges, the harmonics of Lenny Breau and the jazz sensibil

Tony Campise
Once in a Blue Moon

Liquid and breathless Texas tenor stylings, soulfull fluid alto playing

"If ever there was proof that Texas makes 'em bigger than life, Tony Campise is it." His talent surpasses the usual saxophone player. He is virtually a master of any woodwind instrument, including the tenor and alto saxophone, piccolo, flute, and bass flute. His consummate artistry has been widely recognized by such diverse talents as Willie Nelson, Joe Henderson, Eric Johnson, Phil Woods, Billy Gibbons, and Lyle Lovett.
