PBN AUDIO www.pbnaudio.com har flyttet produksjonen av de håndbygde MONTANA Loudspeakers & PBN OLYMPIA Amps til nye lokaler i San Diego, California, hvor også de gamle lokalene lå. Nytt er et en dedikert Home Theatre showroom i Custom Shop med MONTANA Speakers / PBN OLYMPIA Amps i et 7.1-system, samt en nyinnkjøpt Thermwood router (kutte-/fresemaskin) som øker presisjonsnivået i produksjonen av høyttalerkabinettene ytterligere.

LAS VEGAS — January 8, 2004 — San Diego-based PBN Audio has announced a major expansion for 2004. Shortly after the conclusion of the Consumer Electronics Show, the high-end speaker and electronics maker will move into spacious new quarters at 1370 Hill Street in El Cajon. The company's new 4000 sq. ft. facility will combine product development, manufacturing and sales under one roof for the first time. “The move was necessitated by back-to-back years of rapid growth," said Peter Noerbaek, President and Chief Engineer of PBN. “We have literally outgrown our old location. Our new plant should let us considerably shorten delivery time for our standard products as well as for custom orders."
Manufacturing advancements include a $100,000 investment in a state-of-the-art CNC router, a fully programmable Thermwood Model 42 with 10 HP spindle motors. The versatile production tool can accept full 5' x 10' sheets of medium density fiberboard, excising all cutouts and cabinet panels for a single large loudspeaker in one operation, with accuracy approaching 0.001". "We should realize huge savings in setup and assembly time, with immediate benefits for our customers," Noerbaek noted.
PBN’s new quarters will also feature a full 7.1-channel demo room where audio and home theater fans can experience the company's breathtaking loudspeakers and electronics. Custom installer Eric Engerbretson of Home Theater Experience in Fallbrook will manage the demo room, with hours by appointment. PBN will also expand its hugely successful custom design and installation program.
