RadioTray är ett minimalistiskt program för strömmande radio, som körs via Linux systray.
Meningen är att spelaren skall ha ett minimalistiskt utseende som gör det väldigt enkelt att använda.
 
Features:
plays most media formats (based on gstreamer libraries)
bookmarks support, with sorting easy to use
supports PLS playlist format (Shoutcast/Icecast)
supports M3U playlist format
supports ASX, WAX and WVX playlist format
Programmet är väldigt enkelt att använda. De enda inställningarna man kan göra är att lägga till/plocka bort radiokanaler och trycka på on/off
Programmet installeras enklast via en tarball fil.

När popup fönstret öppnas så kan man välja mellan att öppna paketet med Gdebi direkt, eller att spara paketet. det sistnämnda alternativet används med fördel, då det kan bli fel vid installationen annars.
Här finns det en del streaming kanaler att välja mellan, BBCs länkar funkar dock inte.

uppdatering släpptes för några dagar sedan.
Här är några av av ändringarna:
Previous versions couldn#8217;t reconnect in case of network failure. This was basically a stupid bug related to how RT was dealing with gstreamer states. Although that fixes small network problems, it can#8217;t help in cases where the network failure exceeds timeout. For that, I also added a #8220;retry#8221; operation that prolongs this time. After that, it justs stops. I could keep on retrying, but I#8217;m not sure if that#8217;s the best way. Anyway, if you still have problems, please file a bug so we can review this.
Fixed some issues that prevented it from running well on some distros. Some related with crashes and others related to the icon not appearing correctly.
As for new features, we have a new plugin: MateMediaKeysPlugin. Thanks to Ken for writing this plugin. This creates the bindings for multimedia keys (in supported keyboards) under Mate desktop. It#8217;s similar to what we had with Gnome. Which reminds me that the Gnome Media Keys plugin doesn#8217;t support Gnome3. As Gnome2 is fading out, this plugin will probably become deprecated. I hope we can have a new one that works under Gnome3 soon. Of course, that means Radio Tray needs to work better on Gnome Shell, which it doesn#8217;t right now, at least without modifications to the desktop.
And finally, I also added partial support for album cover. This looks pretty nice, but it works only with a few radio stations. Some stations publish the album cover in the stream, others publish just their logo and most don#8217;t publish anything. Radio Tray displays any image that it receives in the stream, no matter if it#8217;s an album cover or the radio#8217;s logo. Both look nicer than just displaying RT#8217;s stock icon.

Det tycker jag du skall göra GiK.
programmet är riktigt beroendeframkallande.
Jag använder knappt inget annat program numera för att lyssna på musik, bara för att det är så enkelt, när man väl har fått in en hög med radiokanaler. |

Sak absolut vid lämpligt tiffälle
testa Webb-Radio på ubuntu.
På jobbet har jag en del "US country" och "60-tal"
som Webb-Radio. |

Senast jag kollade efter Radiotray där, så fanns det inte med. Så det är nog tillagt rätt nyligt.
Du får gärna skriva omdöme här i tråden.  |

Bra tips Labbe !
Jag hittade den även i softwarecenter i LinuxMint 11, vilket innebär att den borde finnas även i ubuntus dito, kanske en enklare att installera därigenom.
Ska prova den genast :) |
