Innsiden av XDS-1
Basically with the XDS1, Ed Meitner started from scratch to design a no-compromise
playback system:
1. It features Eds new ultra-low jitter master clock (MCLK)
2. 4th Generation MDAT DSP using a larger FPGA with even greater processing power and designed from scratch DSP code
3. Eds new modular 4th Generation Meitner 2xDSD DAC (MDAC).
4. MFAST Technology to eliminate source jitter.
5. The XDS1 has all newly designed 100% pure discrete, low-feedback, dual-balanced audio path with a pure class A gain stage from DAC to output.
6. Powerful new custom designed line driver to drive the most difficult loads (capacitive cables, passive line stages, etc.).
7. Newly designed triple-filtered modular audio path DC power-supplies.
8. Newly designed proprietary high-isolation resonant-mode power-supply (X-Power).
Along with near complete isolation from any external power issues/influences, is super low noise and is totally synchronous to the MCLK system (no additional swithching clock hence less digital noise and jitter).
9. The XDS1 also is the first product to use EMMs new TEAC/Esoteric all metal drive
mechanism which combines smooth silent CD/SACD operation with fast function response.
10. The XDS1 also is our first all in one player that has PCM inputs allowing it to be used as a stand alone converter.
It has both AES/SPDIF* and TOSLINK inputs. Currently accepting
PCM audio up to 24bit/96kHz but will later support up to 24bit/192kHz (software update) |

Behold UPA192
The UPA192 is a tri-amping mono block in one housing. Three amplifiers with 160W, 80W and 20W are incorporated besides the active crossover achieved by DSP technology operating non-compromised phase-linear filters. Active room correction can be applied. The binding posts are placed on the front all the other connections are placed on the rear below the large upright passive cooler.
The UPA192 can be fed by any digital stereo signal or by an analog mono high level signal. It's multi functional input sockets allow all common connectors to be used, optical and electrical, balanced und unbalanced in analog and digital domain.
It can be cascaded as often as desired to expand for more than three channels per side. The most important setting for operation could be done at the dip-switch on the rear. |
